Three weeks with my brother is a fabulous book which is awesome combination of a two part –Nicholas Sparks memoir about their childhood and a travelogue about three weeks trip around the world and a complete package in itself and will give immense pleasure while reading it.
It has been jointly written by Nicholas and Micah Sparks (elder brother of Nicholas Sparks).It was a New York Times Bestseller.The book explains about the beautiful bond which Sparks family shared , hectic schedule of a couple with five small children , a beautiful bond shared by brothers and a travelogue by two brothers for most exotic places of the Earth. The writing is conversational, the dialogue true to life, and as an autobiographical account of Sparks' relationship with his brother, very touching and sweet. The journey had been done by both the brothers in 2003.
They voyaged to the lost city of Machu Picchu high in the Andes, to mysterious Easter Island, to Ayers Rock in the Australian outback and across the vast Indian subcontinent, (specially they have explained about Rajasthan) , visit to Cambodia, the ultimate story of their lives would unfold.
They well about the adventure and excitement during their trip and the pleasure felt while witnessing seven wonders of the world. Against the backdrop of the wonders of the world and often overtaken by their feelings, Micah the dare devil and the serious introspective Nicholas recalled their rambunctious childhood adventures and the tragedies that tested their faith. And in the process, they discovered startling truths about loss, love and hope.
